Canvas Dreams

The beginning of every piece, that moment when possibility meets intention on virgin canvas.

October Rain

Watercolor series, Barcelona 2023

Painted during three consecutive rainy afternoons in my Barcelona studio, this series captures the exact moment when autumn light filters through rain-streaked windows. Each piece was completed in a single session, allowing the water to dictate the flow of pigment, a surrender to the unpredictable beauty of letting go.

Inherited Gestures

Mixed media installation, 2024

These are my grandmother's brushes, discovered in her art box after she passed. I've worked with them for two years now, feeling how her hand shaped the handles, how certain bristles still hold traces of her favorite cadmium yellow. This piece explores the lineage of creativity, how artistic DNA passes through generations, through objects, through the muscle memory of making.

Analog Dreams, Digital Breath

Hybrid process documentation, 2023

I paint with watercolors until 3 AM, then scan the wet pieces and continue working digitally while the physical paint is still drying. This creates a temporal dialogue between two versions of the same work, one existing in physical space, aging and changing, the other frozen in digital time, infinitely manipulable. The final pieces exist somewhere between these two realities.

The Language of Stains

Experimental color study, ongoing since 2022

I collect stains from my daily life, coffee rings, wine drops, lipstick smudges, mud from walks, and recreate them precisely using traditional pigments. Each "stain painting" is accompanied by the story of its origin: the conversation that led to the spilled wine, the book I was reading when the coffee cup slipped. These accidental marks become portraits of lived moments, elevating the mundane to the sacred.

About the Practice

Making
Meaning

Art-making is an act of translation, converting the intangible into the visible, the felt into the seen. My practice exists at the intersection of spontaneity and intention.

Working primarily in watercolor and mixed media, I explore the dialogue between control and surrender, allowing materials to guide the conversation while maintaining purposeful direction.

Process

Each work begins with observation, studying how light moves, how colors interact, how forms emerge and dissolve. The process becomes a meditation on presence and patience.

Philosophy

Art should serve as a bridge between inner and outer worlds, making the invisible visible. Every stroke carries intention, every color choice speaks to deeper truths about human experience.

Vision

To create works that invite contemplation and connection, pieces that speak to the shared human experience of seeking beauty and meaning in an often chaotic world.
